haolelife posted a new message on the forum Switch pitch ?s.
haolelife Hey guys. I’ve got the 472 in my 66. I just had the guys swapped over from the 66 trans to the bop bell housing. Now I’m trying to figug out the switch pitch connections. It looks like the 66 had the kickdown and switch pitch all in the plunger style connection?  My plunger pice is shot. Should I just get another one off eBay or smtn tobmake this work?  Also the 66 bracket will not work on the new manifold but that shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to make smtn work for that. Just making sure a new connector will work for what I want before I spend the money. What do you guys think. I also swapped to and 750 edelbrock carb, I know everyone says not to do that, but I couldn’t get the Qjet tuned right and it runs much better now.

26 years later, my Fleetwood sounds like it should

In 1992 I bought my black 1965 Fleetwood Brougham here in Montreal as a winter car to replace our dying green 1970 Sedan De Ville.  It was bit rusty, had a beautiful interior, cost $2,000 and every hundred miles I had to add a quart of oil and c [...]
