Hey,

I found a gas station near me that sells 110 octane leaded "race fuel". Any benefits to using this in my 429? What was the factory recommended ?

Nate,
I ran my 66 429 on 93 octane for over 20 years under all kinds of conditions and never had an issue with gasoline octane (pinging, etc.)  Since yours seems to be the same color as mine I would think that would be true of yours.  The downside to leaded gasoline s plug and valve fouling.
For my race car I use VP- MS-109 when I am gong racing, but it survives on the same 93 octane to get around at normal driving conditions.

No benefit, especially to your wallet! Factory rec was prob 94-100 leaded stuff. Now, if you are hearing a knock...then u prob just have a hotter than normal engine for some reason.
