I’m have two cables going from the negative battery terminal, one bolts to the top of the engine and the other to the frame by the radiator support.  Do I need the one going to the engine?

Technically no, if your block is grounded elsewhere.. BUT, I would keep it. You can’t overdo grounds in this car with SO many single wire harness connectors. If you remove your direct engine ground, you WILL need a new one going to the frame from the block. If you are wanting less wire for asthetic purposes, how would grounding the block to the same point that the frame is direct grounded to suit you?

I run two batts, each 0 gauge grounded to the frame and the block + the chinsy Cadillac firewall ground strings. All kindsa’ earth energy around my rig:-)

Thanks for the reply, I think I’ll leave it as is.
